Hey... Im not sure about some of those facts... dunno... I can't really quote you AND say this AND that ARE wrong... its just a feeling I have... LIKE the Harl leaving part... didnt that happen later?

 

Also, I would believe swzl AND swzfl should be included much MORE IN this------> Protection was not mentionned!!!!!!! It dominated swzl for 3 seasons, I think it should be included:) Detriment aswell is part of the story...

 

If you truely want to know about the HBK swzl story and Os being kicked out, I can write you a 10 page biography with quotes!!! bwhaah, kidding... but not:P

This was the date I frist played SWZ, a truly monumental day in swz history, I am sure its ommision was simply a grievous oversight and I accept your upcoming apology with grace and class.

 

Ok, I know that this is gonna spark flames and namecalling..... but my enromous ego:lack of talent ratio simply will not allow me to not post it so name call away.

And that I have posted it here for a reason, being that people will be able to respond and make corrections and comments, so that it may be edited in the future. If anything other than that were the case, why would I post it here and ask for help with it. And yes eventually all the responses will be verified and entered into it. The first sentence in the first post says it all:

GL, if you want to call it a history, you cannot add editorial comments, like saying that ORION used annoying bomber tactics. If you want to make it first person, go ahead and add your comments. But as an attempt to make it as objective as possible, you cannot editorialize.

Just another suggestion...Interview people. Get Vets, noobs, etc, and use their quotes in there. Would add a different angle on the history.

 

 

As an unrelated thought:

There has got to be a book in this somewhere. Someone is probably already writing one about the Everquest phenomenon, but maybe there are parallels in the way that an online community developes as opposed to other communities. Or maybe not.

why dont you get old squad leaders to write a little diddy about their squads (past and present), and make a little sub squad menu thing for the history part. Since squads are extremely important in the zone, and with that I'm sure you will have enough FOR someone TO piece together a nice history article FOR everyone. Just a suggestion.

not sure if anyone checks this thread anymore...but yeah haven't heard anything about Starship Wars T1 IN a long TIME. I saw the LAST post about anything was around the END OF 2003 didn't know if the final revision were made and ready to be put up on the website yet? Great Job GL!

First of all: Thanks! The history of SubSpace in general quite honestly facinates me for some reason. And your perspective adds detail that I've NOT yet had the pleasure OF reading.

 

I'm rather adept at writing. So, for what it's worth, my PRIMARY offering IS TO loose the smileys. My other suggestion IS TO WRITE USING a word processor.

 

Clean it up, repost, AND I'll go from there.

just to clarify one thing on raynor's orion history post....it was "TheDiest" w/o a SPACE =p ONLY reason i know was well i joined the same DAY he did lol I can prolly supply ANY info you're missing in the orion history beings how i was on it for like 6 yrs from the get go in vie dueling zone

 

And if you want any info about O's being kicked other THEN what Rick can offer, im sure i prolly have it beings how it was mainly blamed ON me.
