I'm reading the Da Vinci Code and all the of the evidence from art and so forth seems pretty true. SO what gives? Is this shit real or not? Says it's fiction in the beginning but I don't know.

is any of it real? remember, this picture is not a photograph, it is a painting done some 13-14 HUNDRED years after the supposed event...

 

Is this davinci's way of making people think? is it his attempt to make a jab at the religious community of the time? (you know, the folks that like to execute scientists for heresy)... is it just a joke? or is it inside knowledge from davinci's membership in whatever organization...

 

you should read his other book "Angels and Demons" ... it's actually the prequel to the davinci code...

 

personally, i would find it odd if the man jesus would not have taken up with a woman, considering all the other biblical references to men/women/procreation...

 

of course, this is all conjecture

both angels and demons and the da vinci code were great books. i even like angels and demons more.

The premise of the DaVinci Code isn't that the painting was some kind of photograph of what happened, rather that DaVinci was a member of some secret society that knew the truth about Jesus' relationship with Mary Magdalene and that he put clues to it in his paintings, such as that hand.

And yes, the books were great. They came out with another book, that goes through the "Da Vinci Code" in paragraphs. It then will have a paragraph underneath that explaining the real facts about it. Check it out at Borders Books.
