Hmm, I'm limited in what I can do in that respect. Mackie will likely have to take care of that.

I posted instructions that worked for me on www.starwarzone.com. let me know if it doesnt work for you. -tcdr

JF has a hitlist (www.jfsquad.com) unfortunately, most of them don't play any more, so we dont have a reason to play anymore either =(

QUOTE (a dead fish @ Mar 3 2006, 12:39 PM) It's been this way for a while. TCDR - would you be so kind as to take a gander at this little buglet in the forums, and apply a fix so that we can have the full enjoyment and participation in this here forum thingy? Preciumstate it! P.S. Smileys too :-) Should have mentioned it earlier. Its fixed now.

Although not as cool as displaying 3D objects in air, there are 3D LCD monitors that display 3D objects that stick out the monitor, without the need for special glasses.

thx chucky! same to u =)

I agree with SP. Thats what I meant about you being condescending to players of the zone. He didn't deserve that kind of response, and even if he did, you should stilil uphold yourself to a certain standard as a leader. What kind of example are you being to your staff?
-
I know there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes, but what's more important is what goes on in front of anyone else. What I see is a sysop who takes all credit for everything that goes does go right when the thanks should go to those who deserve the credit instead. As a leader of the zone, of course mackie would deserve credit for organizing a staff capable of handling the zone, but a good leader wouldn't give himself credit, but would give the credit to this staff. Coming into the zone and attributing the small transient increase in population to insignificant setting changes undermines the effort of the other staff such as Levi who actually are around and running events. Especially when it has been established that setting changes won't fix our population problem. Having a more active staff to run events, more communication between staff and the public, and a population with a more positive attitude will. One of the major reasons I was upset is that because new mods were hired, but nothing about them was mentioned in the news.txt or on the website. If I was one of those mods, that would make me feel as if my presence wasn't valued and that would impact on how I perform. As for myself, I recognize I may not have been the greatest leader, my biggest neglect being how I handled the staff internally, but I do think I dealt with the population better. For instance, if the zone were to go offline, I wouldn't leave the population in the dark for days. Mackie may be doing well internally, but what about how he deals with the public? I understand that you're busy, but why should the zone suffer for your lack of communication or absence? And clint, I'm not bitter that mackie is running the zone. If you recall, I was sysop before and the only reason mackie has it now is because I stepped down, and in that respect, he has become bitter towards me. I stepped down because I knew I was going to become too busy with my last year of school and my upcoming residency, and I didn't want the zone to suffer again from yet another inactive sysop...so much for that. As for the flaming, you're right. I should have made it less personal.

NR is newb 4ever!....just like me

Do I have to remind that the lowest low this zone has been through has been under your leadership? Thankfully, theres hope in the rest of your staff. You should give them credit more often then taking it all for yourself.

Couldn't agree more. I think the decision to put up the current map was rather spontaneous and not well thought through.

QUOTE (Mackieman @ Dec 11 2005, 02:11 PM) You're welcome. How arrogant can you get? You make it sound like you're doing us all a favor by keeping the zone functioning, when in fact that IS your responsibility, one you've barely been able to maintain. I think more thanks goes to Junky who was there to bring up the zone when you weren't, or so I've heard. And even if not, all I see you do when you are online is take credit for things you've had nothing to do with. You really think your spontaneous setting changes are improving the population? Hardly. The credit goes to your new staff members levi, justi and skippy? who's positions I have yet to figure out because you could care less to make an announcement about it. They're the one doing the prizing and running events. All you do is come into spec and take the credit for what they are doing.

QUOTE (Dodj @ Dec 5 2005, 02:05 AM) just make buy prox, super, antiwarp. make buy only in safe. everything else is gay. green it you can flag without bounce, stay alive and pick up a green, its not that hard. either that or suicide taking a couple with you before dieing. wtf is with this buying everything. why dont u make every green multiprize lev lol, do it you can't resist!!! The idea behind making things buyable was to give incentive to flag, and I'd say it works, although I will miss my terr bombs

QUOTE (thoth1902 @ Nov 28 2005, 07:45 PM) I'd rather eat animals a little more endangered, say a panda bear or something. Make sure you avoid the livers, they're toxic.
